Understand the Costs
Because so much is included, residents pay for Life Plan Communities like The Glen at Heather Farm in different ways than they would for a traditional single-family home or a rental apartment. Residents will pay a one-time, highly repayable entrance fee and a predictable monthly fee. These fees cover a residence plus everything included in the lifestyle, as well as a solid plan for the future.
Entrance Fee
An investment towards complete peace of mind.
Residents at The Glen at Heather Farm will pay a one-time, highly repayable entrance fee upon move-in. Typically, residents use the proceeds from the sale of their current home to pay for their residence at a Life Plan Community, and most of this fee (at least 75%) is repaid to the resident or their estate. The price is based on the size and location of the home they select. At The Glen at Heather Farm, the fees start in the $600,000s and can be over $2,000,000 for our largest homes.
Monthly Fee
Includes nearly everything – there’s no better value.
For those who take time to do the math, The Glen at Heather Farm can prove to be a compelling value. Residents will enjoy a well-planned retirement lifestyle with priority access to the adjacent health center for assisted living, memory care and long-term care in a skilled nursing center, if ever needed.
An accurate understanding of which services and amenities that are included is important to seeing the full value. Many of the perks at The Glen at Heather Farm are not standard fare at other retirement communities. These include meals at restaurants, housekeeping and landscaping maintenance, entertainment and transportation services, pickleball and tennis, move theater, open-air pool and other on-site attractions.
In addition to simplifying their finances, residents will no longer be responsible for property taxes, HOA charges, real estate insurance or most of their utilities – and can receive significant tax benefits associated with their new move.
